About me
Julien Dif regularly advises promoters of foreign collective investment schemes on all Swiss legal and regulatory aspects relating to the distribution and placement of such products. In this context, he ensures that all relevant documentation of foreign collective investment schemes is compliant with Swiss law and drafts all types of agreements related to this activity. Julien Dif advises foreign collective investment schemes over the entire period of their distribution in Switzerland. He frequently collaborates with the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA and conducts the necessary procedures for the maintenance of all required authorizations.
In addition to the above, Julien Dif also specializes in general banking and financial law and advises, among others, asset managers and distributors of Swiss or foreign collective investment schemes as well as securities dealers applying for an authorization by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA and by the Securities and Commodities Authority in the United Arab Emirates.
Julien Dif was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2001. In this capacity, he assists his Swiss and foreign clients on the part of their structuring activities which have a connection with this jurisdiction. This includes advising clients on the incorporation not only of Luxembourg collective investment schemes but also of Luxembourg commercial companies and securitization vehicles and representing such clients vis-à-vis the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, Luxembourg.
Julien Dif is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He regularly advises his private clients on estate planning issues through the use of well-established vehicles such as, among others, trusts and foundations. He also acts for family offices, large banking institutions and trust companies on a variety of Swiss private international and tax law issues
